The D-Class was launched to investigate given it's ability to approach the sticken vessel in shallow water. Upon arrival on-scene the D-class assessed the situation and requested the launch of the Atlantic 85 to assist with pulling the yacht free. A rope from the yacht was taken out by the D-Class and passed to the Atlantic 85 which was sitting in deeper water, and able to use it's superior power to pull the yacht free. The yacht was then able to continue under it's own power and the lifeboats commenced their training exercises for the day.
